Why Work for Independent Living?
On the 1st April the National Minimum Wage (NMW) increased which means Independent Living has also given a pay rise to our carers, but ours is above the minimum wage. Our carers’ wages start at £14.30 but we pay more at weekends, Bank Holidays and if you have care qualifications. Car mileage is set at 35p a mile. All our care calls are at least 30 minutes, but most now are 1 hour which means you get to spend more time with our clients and do not have to dash off to other jobs.
Independent Living only provides care in the Leyland and Chorley area which means you do not spend time travelling around Lancashire, or visiting many rural areas on those cold dark dangerous winter nights. We have a range of care shifts available to suit including: mornings, evenings and weekends. We can consider people who are looking for just 16 hours through to around 40 hours per week. Previous care experience is not essential as we provide training but a kind caring nature and an interest in helping older people is a must.
If you are looking for either fixed or flexible work and would like to improve the lives of older people in our community why not give Amanda or Lilian a call in office hours

Car ownership is essential for these roles and we are unable to accept sponsorship workers.
