School Holidays Over! – Are you looking for a flexible job?

As I write this blog the children are going back to school after the long six weeks summer holidays.  As I drove into work into work this morning I noticed the traffic was heavier than it has been for some weeks. As a parent myself it has been a busy and expensive time sorting out school uniforms.  My own children have had a great holiday but it is now time to return to school and have a regular structure to their lives.  Things will get back to normal over the next week.

This will leave some parents freer to consider work opportunities.  The advantage of home care is it can be flexible, we have morning work, day work, evenings, weekends, fixed days of the week and sometimes overnight work.  With the continuing year on year rise of the National Living Wage the pay is competitive in the care sector.  Above all, the work is highly rewarding, it really does enhance the lives of the most vulnerable in our local community and a carer visiting can be the highlight of their day.  Whilst experience is helpful care is the type of work which is open to people with no previous experience or care qualifications but enjoy helping people.  As we visit people in their own homes the only essential requirement is that our employees own a car.

If you are interested in a job in care that only covers Chorley and the Leyland area why not give us a call 01257 696 050 (Office Hours) or call in at our office: Independent Living, 225 Eaves Lane, Chorley, PR6 0AG.
