Thank you for all your support you have provided at such short notice, my wife and I appreciate it.
Mr & Mrs W, Adlington, September 2017.
Many thanks to all of the staff of Independent Living who cared for Eileen. We are grateful for your kindness and dedication, on behalf of the family.
Mrs B, Standish
I want to thank Independent Living for the end of life care they provided for my husband. It was a very difficult time but the staff who came were punctual, reliable and they offered practical support, and helped me cope.
Mrs S, Mawdesley
Independent Living looked after my father when we took our annual holiday. The service was flexible and it was very useful to be able to have people to rely on when we needed it. The staff were lovely and this gave us peace of mind.
Mrs L, Heskin
Independent Living helped my wife who had a stroke with personal care. As I am in my eighties I could do this myself but the Independent Living staff were always reliable and I enjoyed chatting to them. I also called them a few times in an emergency and they also helped at short notice.
Mr J, Parbold
I don’t go out much these days and my daughter-in-law suggested I get companionship. I was reluctant at first and agreed for an hour a week. The carers were really kind and I enjoyed their company. A few months later I was so satisfied I increased my weekly visits.
Mrs J, Standish
My mother has poor mobility and requires daily exercises. Independent Living were able to send two carers at the same time to help with the mobility exercises, and to help mum get a shower. The staff supplied were well presented. Previously we tried three other care companies but none have been as professional as Independent Living.
Mrs C, Euxton
My father has advanced Parkinson’s and we asked Independent Living to help get him up in the morning, and help throughout the day with meals. They are a great company, often putting in extra support at just an hour’s notice. They took my father to his specialist appointments at Salford Neurology Unit as I couldn’t get the time off work. Dad really enjoyed talking to the staff and as he lived alone, this cheered him up.
Mrs B, Croston
My mother had an operation and was generally unwell when she came out of hospital. At first she did not want to be alone at night in case something happened. We contacted Independent Living at very short notice several times and they were able to put in place night care. I want to thank them for their help.
Mrs T, Leyland
My cousin lives alone and when she came out of a respite facility she required help the family were not able to provide. Independent Living have provided 4 visits a day for over 3 years now and we are very satisfied with the professionalism of the staff. If I have anything I want to discuss the owner of the business is always available to speak to me.
Mrs F, Brinscall
My mum lives on her own in Astley Village and recently gave up driving. We visit when we can but running the family business means we cannot be there everyday. I persuaded her to try Independent Living having seen a leaflet. It has changed her life, she chats to the staff, they carry out household tasks and take her to Tesco, Chorley market and the hairdressers.
Mrs S, Astley Village
Mum had an illness which was progressive and eventually became terminal. Independent Living helped with personal care and over time provided 24 hour care. When mum became seriously ill they arranged a large volume of care using just a handful of staff which mum really likes.
Mrs B, Anderton
I experienced mobility problems and it became difficult to leave my house. As a result I felt a little bit down. Independent Living provided a nice carer who cleaned my house, fetched the shopping and did jobs I could not manage myself. When the weather was good a carer also took me out on trips to Blackpool and Rivington.
Mrs F, Adlington
Mum had a hip replacement and it did not go to plan. When she came out of hospital her mobility was impaired. Independent Living provided a full range of care services and as she got better they were able to reduce the support. Her carer Lesley was fantastic, she even fed the cat!
Mrs W, Clayton-le-Woods
Independent Living look after my husband who has short term memory loss. They take him out and about to the garden centre or the supermarket. This gives me a much needed break and means I can also sort out domestic issues such as shopping or taking the cat to the vets.
