Have you ever considered becoming a carer? from £13.40 per hour
Although care work has negative perceptions amongst some people, and we all see documentaries from time to time like Panorama often highlighting abuse and poor practice in Care Homes of course the reality is that the majority of the care sector, and those that work in care are kind, professional and take great pride in helping vulnerable people. Many of our customers live alone in their own home and a care visit can be the focal point of their day, something to look forward to. For a care worker helping older people can be rewarding, helping to brighten up everyday in their twilight years. Practical care tasks include: personal care, medication prompting, making meals, taking people to appointments and sometimes overnight care. Over time our carers form a relationship with our customers and provide both practical and surprisingly emotional support.
We are always looking for care staff, and have a range of care hours available, we can consider applicants who want anything from 10 to 40 hours a week. To do the job a candidate has to be over 18 years old, own a car but we cannot accept overseas carers as we do not have a sponsorship licence. Our pay is higher at weekends and for care staff with qualifications. If you are interested please call Lilian or Amanda in normal office hours on 01257 696 050.
